A novel chitosan and polydopamine interlinked bioactive coating for metallic biomaterials

This article describes a new coating method for metallic biomaterials using chitosan and polydopamine. The authors showed that the coating had good antibacterial, antiplatelet, and biocompatible properties, as well as enhanced corrosion resistance and mechanical stability. They suggested that the coating could improve the performance of metallic biomaterials such as stents.
